The climb to Mount Rinjani National Park has two main official gate lines for climbing through that are Sembalun and Senaru gate.Two of these lines has a very different character.Climbing through Sembalun passes very broad meadows from sembalun village untip top of rinjani. with few trees interspersed.Climbing through this relatively hot weather, especially during the daytime and therefore do not forget to bring sunblock or a hat for protect your skin from sunburn. Along the way you will treated with views peaks of Rinjani mountain it seemed ready to challenge you to climb, while the other side is climbing through Senaru, climbing through this pathway is relatively cool because we run through tropical rain forest that stretched along 15 miles up from senaru village.the views this pathway is typical of many towering trees as habitat for a variety of flora and fauna in the mountain Rinjani, along the way you will see and hear the sounds of animals such as monkeys, birds chirp along your journey to creater rim at an altitude of 2639 meters above sea level
FLORA AND PAUNA OF Mt RINJANI
The Rinjani National Park area is one of the best conservation area as a place to watch and enjoy the variety of potential biodiversity, including the beauty and wonder of the natural phenomena contained therein.Until now there are 50 National Park with an area of approximately 16.38 acres, which is expected to have covered all forms of ecosystem representation in all regions of the Indonesian island biogeography. Mount Rinjani National Park has been declared a national park by the Ministry of Forestry in 1990 with an area of 41,330 ha. Administratively, the government is in 3 districts, namely West Lombok, Central Lombok and East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province,
Mount Rinjani National Park is a representative mountain rain forest ecosystem form low to high mountains and savannah in East Nusa. Potential plant is located in Mount Rinjani National Park, among others jelutung (Laportea stimulant), dedurenan (Aglaia argentea), bayur (Pterospermum javanicum), banyan (Ficus benjamina), guava-jambuan (Syzygium sp.), Keruing (Dipterocarpus hasseltii), rerau (D. imbricatus), Eidelweis (Anaphalis javanica), and 2 species of orchid endemic to the Perisstylus rintjaniensis and P. lombokensis.In addition there is an endemic species of mammals are weasels rinjani (Paradoxurus hemaproditus rinjanicus), there are also deer (Muntiacus muntjac nainggolani), ebony leaf monkey (Trachypithecus auratus kohlbruggei), pangolin (Manis javanica), horn cikukua bird (Philemon buceroides neglectus), forest Dawah (Ducula lacernulata sasakensis), black neck kepudang (Oriolus broderipii chinensis), and several species of reptiles.
Based on the observations, has made identification of 665 individual birds belonging to 23 families and 42 species of birds.The spesies richnes found along the hiking trail Senaru during the observation period are presented in Table 1,1

Gunung baru is the new mountain is still active and become Rinjani mountain activity center, located in the central part of the lake, with an altitude of 2363 meters the mountain is always active almost every 4 years eruption.People believe Gunung baru is the navel of Mt Rinjani.
